Volunteer Opportunity in Prince William County Provides Literacy Tutor Training

Looking to expand your teaching resume and get some free professional training as a tutor? Prince William County is looking for volunteer tutors to help kids enrolled in their Literacy Program.  Great teachers and current tutors in the area should consider the opportunity to serve the community as well. After all, every great teacher and tutor knows there is no limits to the repetoire of teaching method and study tips that can be added to an educators bag of “reaching multiple learning style” success tricks!

LVA-PW Welcomes New Volunteer Tutors! The last Tutor Training Workshop, which was held in January 2008, was attended by twenty-one new volunteer tutors. LVA-PW welcomes and congratulates the following volunteers for giving of their time to share the gift of reading. Would you like to become a volunteer literacy tutor and help an adult in Prince William County learn to read? Then sign up for the next Tutor Training Workshop (TTWS)!

We are a non-profit serving the Woodbridge area of Prince William county. We offer free tutoring to adults who seek to improve their literacy skills. If you would like to become a volunteer literacy tutor, you must attend both training sessions of a TTWS to become a certified literacy tutor with us.
